The festival’s grand finale, crowning the Billy T and Fred Award winners in a high stakes, prestigious awards showcase.

To capture the prestige of the festival's ultimate awards night without losing its comic heart, the branding needed a "late night gala" aesthetic. I combined rich, celebratory colors with sharp, modern typography to evoke a sense of spotlight and achievement. The assets were rolled out across grand scale stage projections, award presentation slides, and premium print programmes.

Playing on the classic concept of a "clash," the design system focuses on dynamic opposition. I created a high energy, comic book inspired layout using contrasting split screen graphics, expressive typography, and punchy visual cues to represent the "versus" element of the debate. The visual assets were formatted heavily for high visibility street posters and digital social grids to drive ticket sales.

Grounded in community, local pride, and old-school mixtape culture, the visual identity blends nostalgic analog textures with bold, modern layout principles. To honor Te Pou Theatre's beautiful kaupapa Māori space, the branding feels warm, accessible, and raw. The design elements were engineered to be highly modular, allowing easy adaptation for diverse line up announcements across Instagram grids and localized physical posters.

The visual identity for Loud & Queer needed to be as expressive and vibrant as the show itself. I designed a high-octane branding system featuring bold, playful lettering, custom geometric patterns, and a electric neon-inspired palette. The system was designed for maximum visual noise, cutting through busy streetscapes on Wellington posters and setting a joyous, festive tone across digital campaign assets.
